Have A Long Term Development Plan

This is also part of the FA Charter Standard requirements, but it deserves a separate mention due to its importance. Any club looking for grants or funding need to have a long term development plan, if you don’t already have one. It also gives your volunteers / committee members something to aim and work towards and the FA again have a useful template you can view and download

It will take a few hours to complete and you’ll need to involve other members of your club, but having a long term plan for your club is well worth the effort, especially if you’re looking to grow and acquire funding. The best thing is the FA provide some template examples to make it really easy to complete. Once you’ve completed it, it will need to be sent to the FA along with your Charter standard application. We also found this really useful guide on the London FA website.
