Uploading your club logo or crest to Kit Manager

Our kit manager website makes customising your kit simple. Your club’s logo, other badges or crests, sponsors and player names and numbers can all be easily added to personalise your kit or training wear. At this stage, logos or badges need to be in a jpg, gif, png, eps or tif format.

IMPORTANT: Once you’ve decided to order your kit with us, we’ll need your logo or artwork in a suitable vectorised format. You will need to supply this to us. If your logo isn’t in a vectorised format, we charge a flat rate of £25 for artwork origination for each logo. This is because your club or sponsor’s logo will need to be re-drawn from scratch so that we have it in a format that we can work with.

So what is a vectorised format?

Well, put simply, Vector graphics files store the lines, shapes and colours that make up an image as mathematical formulae.” They are also known as EPS files.

Examples of a vectorised file are files ending with “.ai”, or “.eps”. Either of these help ensure a high quality finish, especially for sublimation and printing. Other acceptable formats are “High Resolution PDF files (.pdf), so long as the original file was created in a vector based program such as Adobe Illustrator.

Why do I need my logo in a vectorised format?

Whether it’s for print or embroidery, a vectorised logo can be manipulated or re-sized better, meaning the background can be separated and colours can be edited to get a better representation of your club or sponsor’s logo (colours often look different printed than they do on screen for example). A vectorised format also gives greater consistency, again meaning your colours are represented accurately and logos / crests can be sized accurately to scale without any loss in colour or definition.

Embroidery Disk Origination

The same applies to embroidery disk origination. You may already have this and be able to supply an embroidery disk to us. However, if we have to create a new disk there is a cost associated with this and we apply a one off charge of £25 per logo for embroidery disk origination.

We do not require vectorised logos until you decide to place your order with us. If you don’t have a vectorised logo and / or require artwork disk origination, the cost will be added to your order which you can see in your shopping basket at the checkout.

Names, Initials and Number Fonts

Kit Manager uses our own PUMA font for player names and numbers. This is a really stylish, bespoke font specially designed and chosen for PUMA kits. To keep the process simple, we do not provide different options of fonts.

Font Colours

We have two options for names, initials and numbers, either black or white.


We offer 2 methods of adding your logo or sponsor onto a kit.


This is the more traditional way of applying a Club logo or crest and is usually best suited to smaller designs, using embroidery for a centre chest sponsor will make the shirt heavy and less rigid. Therefore, we only recommend embroidery for your club badge or crest, or smaller sponsor logos. If you specify embroidery then an embroidery disk is required – we can arrange to make one for you but a £25 charge will apply.

Embroidery Colours

Our embroidery colour palette consists of 15 colours. We will match your logo to the closest possible colour from the below, unless a Pantone reference is specified.


Heat transfer logos are a great alternative to embroidery as they are lighter and more flexible. They are particularly good for more detailed logos or small lettering and are being used increasingly by sports performance brands, due to their lightweight properties and flexibility.Please ensure that the instructions on the label are followed when washing the garment. Failure to follow these instructions may result in colour fading of some or all the transfer applied to the garment.


When adding either embroidery or heat transfer applications to garments our design and production team take great care to ensure the application looks its best. In some rare circumstances when an application and the garment are similar colours our team may take the initiative to edit the colours used for the application, unless specific colours/instructions have been added to the order at the point of checkout. League/FA Regulations

Although we take great care to keep within FA regulations when applying customisations please take a moment to check your league guidelines. When artwork is uploaded for approval dimensions will be clearly labelled in the artwork comments section. Should these sizes be incorrect please reject the artwork and add a comment with your desired dimension
